چکیده

In the northwest of China, a strategy to transmit wind-thermal–bundled power from local grid and doubly fed induction generator (DFIG)–based wind farms through voltage source converter–based HVDC (VSC-HVDC) can be widely applied. However, since is usually weak, new type electrical oscillation in medium-frequency region may occur sending-end converter (SEC) VSC-HVDC with PQ-control. The mechanism this caused by interaction between DFIG, grid, SEC not entirely understood. study, sequence impedance model PQ-control outer loop PLL derived explicit analytic expression, then, explored based on intuitive analysis system frequency characteristics. Compared subsynchronous (SSO) DFIG or inverter, theoretical shows that (MFO) mainly originates due its negative damping effect about 100 200 Hz. addition, impact controller parameters operating conditions characteristics analyzed detail. Finally, correctness validated time-domain simulation.

Dynamic Harmonic Modeling and Analysis of VSC-HVDC Systems

Harmonics have become an important issue in modern power systems. The widespread penetration of non-linear loads to emerging power systems has turned power quality analysis into an important operation issue under both steady state and transient conditions. This paper employs a Dynamic Harmonic Domain (DHD) based framework for dynamic harmonic analysis of VSC-HVDC systems. These systems are wide...

Analysis and simulation of dynamic performance for DFIG-based wind farm connected to a distrubition system

Local renewable resources such as wind and solar are often available in remote locations. Wind farms consist of many individual wind turbines which are connected to the electric power transmission network. A wind farm can use the wind resources from a certain area efficiently. Double-fed induction generator (DFIG) is a generating principle widely used in wind turbine (WT). DFIG are ab...
